Structures & Decisionmaking

The ICA is a membership organisation and the overall strategy and policies are determined by the members who vote at Guild meetings.

The organisation is structured like this:

ICA Members, through their Guilds, propose policy through the Federations, and then decide overall ICA policy & direction at the ICA AGM.

ICA Members elect National & Regional Officers and Federation Presidents to the National Advisory Committee, which advises and is consulted by the National Executive Board.

The National Executive Board, which is made of the elected National & Regional Officers and 9 Federation Presidents, implements the policy and strategic decisions taken at the AGMs. The NEB consults and is advised by the NAC which brings Federation views together. The NEB is accountable for its work to the Guilds and Members at the AGM.
