Garryhill Guild celebrates its 60th Anniversary
17-Jun-2013
Garryhill ICA Guild recently celebrated its 60th Anniversary with a beautiful meal in The Sha’roe restaurant in Clonegal
The Guild was founded on 17th May 1953 & is still going strong.
Two of the founder members Lily Walshe & Annie Kenny are still active in the guild; the members thanked them for their contribution to the work of the guild over the years.
Lily has taken on every job in the guild as well as serving on the federation committee as secretary, treasure, timire, crafts promoter & contests secretary. Annie has served in most positions in the guild.
To mark the occasion on the night Lily & Annie were presented with beautiful engraved cut glass vases by the ICA national president Liz Wall.
Who praised them for their hard work over the years.
They are an inspiration to all the members in the guild & the federation & we wish them many more years of good health to enjoy ICA.
The photos were taken by Roger Jones.
