ICA National President attends COFACE Meeting in Athens

In March our National President Mary D’Arcy proudly represented ICA at the Families Europe expert meeting “Families in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Rights, Inclusion and Empowerment” in Athens.

Bringing together researchers, policymakers, tech experts and civil society, the event explored how AI is transforming family life — from employment and education to online safety and financial inclusion.

The discussions highlighted both the opportunities and risks AI presents for families as workers and citizens, with a strong focus on ensuring rights, inclusion and empowerment remain at the heart of Europe’s digital transition.

As emphasized during the sessions: families must remain active, informed participants in a rapidly evolving digital world, not passive subjects of algorithms.
