Tuam ICA featured in The Tuam Herald.

Sent to us by our National President, Josephine Helly and Breege Newell, here is such a wonderful write-up in the The Tuam Herald about the rich history of Tuam ICA, Galway Federation.

Through a wonderful collection of photos and historical accounts, The Tuam Herald celebrates the achievements and great work of the guild, work that is still as active and fruitful as ever before.

The Tuam Herald also talks to and discusses many key members of the guild’s past and present; Maureen Hardiman, whom is currently in her 105th year, was a founding member of the guild and the only survivor from the guild’s first meting.

Both past and present guild members are celebrated and praised for their incredible feats over the years, particularly through a letter written by Ireland’s First Lady and former Renmore guild ICA member, Sabina Higgins.

What a lovely tribute to all the inspirational work since the guild’s founding. Well done ladies!
