In association with the Irish Sugarcraft Show, we have a new baking competition in this year’s show. There are six categories, one category is closed (only for ICA members) and the other five are open to all. Each baking category will be judged by ICA judges. Judging in the Baking Section will take place on Saturday morning and prizes will be awarded in the afternoon. The entry fee of €14 in the competition also covers covers your door entrance fee on the day.
Categories are as follows:
Class A – Lemon Drizzle Cake confined to ICA members only. One entry per Federation.
Class B – Layered decorated Coffee Cake
Class C – Oxford Lunch baked in a 2lb Loaf Tin.
Class D – Round white Soda bread
Class E – 9″ Fruit Tart
Class F – 6 decorated Cup Cakes Junior Section confined to Under 16’s.
The deadline for competition entries has been extended until Tuesday 4 February. For this final week, baking competition entries can also be entered via Eventbrite. Class B, C, D, E, and F has a max of 20 entries so get your entries in quickly.
There will be trade stands, artisan food vendors, adult and children’s workshops, free demonstrations and fun for all ages. The Show will be held at Dublin City West Hotel on 22nd and 23rd February 2020.
