Welcome New National President, Mary D’Arcy

The Irish Countrywomen’s Association is delighted to welcome its 30th National President Mary D’Arcy. Mary came into office on Saturday 25th May 2024.

Hailing from Ballyfad Guild in Wexford Federation, Mary is the 3rd National President from Wexford Federation since the foundation of the association in 1910.

With strong experience at Guild, Federation and National level, Mary is perfectly equipped for the role of ICA National President. Mary will be supported by a very strong team which includes Mairead Phelan Ballyconnell Guild, Carlow Federation as National Treasurer, June Lawless Shankill Guild, Dublin Federation as National Secretary and Irene O’Brien Monaghan Federation President and chair of the NAC.

Mary was also a part of the outgoing National Executive Board and her election brings continuity which is invaluable for the incoming board as they begin their 3 year term of office.

Mary can be contacted by email on

We look forward to working with Mary until the end of her term of office May 2027 and we wish her the very best in her role.
